New date announced for 2009! The 2009 Colorado Classic 1000 will be held June 20-21, 2009!
Welcome to the 2009 Colorado Classic 1000! June 20-21, 2009 COLORADO CLASSIC 1000 1000 miles in 24 hours Denver to Crested Butte, CO, the long way around! Registration is now CLOSED for the 2009 Colorado Classic 1000.As of 4/20/09, all spots have been taken and no additional entries can be accepted.
The Colorado Classic 1000 is our annual long-distance riding event which challenges participants to complete a scenic 1000-mile route within 24 hours. This year’s route features many of our favorite high country back roads on the way to Crested Butte and the Finish. It climbs mountain passes totaling over 125,000 vertical feet in elevation and crosses the Continental Divide at nine locations. There is no off-road riding. Qualified finishers will receive a commemorative award in recognition of their accomplishment and the opportunity to register for SaddleSore 1000 certification from the Iron Butt Association. The Colorado Classic 1000 is a long-distance tour, not a race, and can be completed without exceeding posted speed limits. Participants are free to ride on their own or in a group of their choosing. Thanks to everyone who has registered in advance to participate in this great event. If you missed out this year, please check back with us again in 2010!
