Grand Mesa -- Google Maps / Earth -- HERE (loads slowly) Experience the Grand Mesa at its finest. We will be traveling mostly on forest service access and county roads through some of the finest forests Colorado has to offer. Enjoy a side trip to Overland Reservoir and possibly Vega State Park if time permits. You'll need to pack or purchase a lunch prior to our departure (there are super markets (link) and restaurants (link) in Paonia) as you will be picnicing in the heart of the Grand Mesa, with a return partly on the Grand Mesa Scenic and Historical Highway. Friday 8:30am Collbran -- Google Maps / Earth -- HERE (loads slowly) This will be some great riding through National Forests and many small towns inColorado. This should be a good ride for those with little dirt road experienc. Departs Saturday at 8:30am. In Aspen you're sure to discover many options for max'ing out those credit cards! Grand Junction BMW - 175 miles -- Ride Map HERE Visit one of the nation's newest BMW Dealers for Lunch and a tour around the Shop. If you need maintenace give them a call and see what can be scheduled. Also a great opportunity to view the new 2009 models and BMW appareal. Don't forget those other "can't live without" add-ons. This route also takes you across the Grand Mesa on Hwy 65. Grand Junction BMW Info. Gateway / Delores River Route - 291 miles-- Ride Map HERE The Gateway Auto Museum celebrates the History, Science, Design, and Social Imoact of the American Car. It is also a beautiful Oasis in the desert, with a restaurant and grocery store for a great lunch with grand views. The Dolores River route offers some of the best riding and scenery in the State. Please be aware, Dirt Road conditions change with the seasons and infrequent maintenance. What may have been easy last year can be impassible today, and vise versa.
