NEW!! Second Annual BMW Motorcycle Club of Colorado Memorial RideSunday, September 19, 2010This looks to be a very nice gathering of club members and friends. We will be gathering at Moto Gear Outlet at 8:00 to 9:00, then riding throughout the foothills and ending the ride at Beemers and More in Fort Collins for lunch, bike oggling and perhaps a little music. Thank you for your contribution to United Cerebral Palsy of Colorado. One hundred percent of your contribution will be going to help fellow Coloradoans in need of special care. This outstanding statement can be made because of the dedication of your fellow members who work hard to make it happen and the very gracious vendors who support our club and its endeavors year in and year out. Be sure to thank them when you get a chance. ♥
First annual Liz Majors Memorial RideSaturday September 26, 2009Co-Sponsored by your BMW Motorcycle Club of Coloradoand United Cerebral Palsy of ColoradoAn Opportunity to Make a Difference!A perfect weather day greeted over 60 riders and guests at our hosts, MotoGear Outlet. The ride was laid out by Gray Buckley, supported by several capable volunteers, ambled through the western metro area, foothills and back to Red and Jerry's in Sheridan. The group was introduced to Judy Ham, CEO of Cerebral Palsy of Colorado. She explained the organization and where the funds we raised that day were going to be used. They will be used to help fellow Coloradoans! There was no band, but there was the pleasant din of friends conversing while having a burger donated by BMW of Denver! It was a great day of friends helping others while remembering our fallen riders. Liz Major's memory is still with us, and served as a catylist for this event, and hopefully will propell this to an annual fund raiser by our club. Special thanks goes to our sponsors: MotoGear Outlet: Ed and Mary immediately and enthusiastically welcomed the opportunity to serve breakfast. BMW of Denver: Bob stepped up to buying lunch without hesitation. It was a great burger! Custom Prints: Jayne again came up with a great pin design that will be cherished. She absorbed many of the costs and brought the finished product to us on time. She's great! Red and Jerrys: Dave volunteered a huge burger, fries and a coke for a cheeeeep price. Our regular monthly meeting room at Fanatix worked great as Shelley and her helpers took great care of us. 100% of your contribution went to to United Cerebral Palsy of Colorado! Thank you to all the volunteers we were able to use, and to the many more who offered to help. As a first time event, we wanted to keep it low profile, and did not require a large number of help at the event, just a whole bunch of members willing to dig deep to help others. A special thanks to Gray Buckley and his ride volunteers for handling the planning and execution of the ride. It was interesting and safe! Others such as Gary Fountain who handled registration with accuracy and precision with the help of Diane Gizzie. And Treasurer John who made sure the money went where it was supposed to. To Dee and Siggi and Dennis who helped solicit donors and distribute brochures. That's always a tough job! But its easy work when you are helping others. Thank you all! Don't forget to thank and patronize our major sponsors, BMW of Denver and MotoGear Outlet. They've stepped up for the club when we needed them so your donation can go directly to United Cerebral Palsy of Colorado.
