A thousand miles in a day!

Denver to Cripple Creek, CO the long way around.

  August16-17, 2008

Register for the inaugural Colorado Classic 1000, our new long-distance riding event which asks participants to ride a thousand miles in a day! This event has been sanctioned by the Iron Butt Association® as an official SaddleSore 1000 endurance rally and is expected to sell out quickly!

The Start opens at 5:00 AM, Saturday, August 16th, at the Holiday Inn in Lakewood, Colorado. The Finish closes 24 hours later, at 5:00 AM, Sunday, August 17th, at the Double Eagle Hotel & Casino in Cripple Creek. The gala Colorado Classic 1000 brunch & celebration follows at 11:00 AM!

All entrants will receive an official Colorado Classic 1000 polo shirt, admittance to the brunch in Steamboat and the opportunity to win great door prizes. Qualified finishers will also receive a commemorative award in recognition of their accomplishment and an invitation to register with the Iron Butt Association® for SaddleSore 1000 certification (additional fee applies).

In accordance with IBA regulations, we will record start and finish odometer readings and require gasoline receipts from four predetermined locations along the route. Detailed route instructions will be provided at rider check-in. Participants are free to ride on their own or in groups. The Colorado Classic 1000 is a long-distance tour, not a race or points competition, and can be successfully completed without exceeding speed limits.

Entry is by advance registration only. The entry fee is $99 if received by Saturday, July 19th ($125 thereafter) and is non-refundable. No entries will be accepted after August 2, 2008.

NOTE:THERE WILL BE NO REFUNDS OF PAID REGISTRATIONS!

Ride limit is 125 registrations!

Rider and passenger count as two entries. Additional brunch tickets will be available for purchase at the time of registration so you can celebrate your accomplishment with family and friends.
